Fire and Water Damage Inspection
A Fire and Water Damage Report is generally required by the insurance loss adjuster before the claim is approved and the work can begin. We will carry out a full inspection of the property and will compile a preliminary report required by the insurance company. This inspection will also allow us to uncover any potential secondary damage to the property caused by soot & smoke particles becoming entrapped in contents and building materials, water damage where water has been used to extinguish the fire, etc.
We will deal with the insurance assessor on your behalf and facilitate quick approval of your claim.
Secondary Damage Prevention
Secondary damage is damage which is caused indirectly by fire, smoke or water damage. This damage can include: mould growth, rusting of metals where high humidity levels mix with acidic soot particles, permanent staining of PVC and plastics, structural damage etc. Water damage, if not repaired promptly and properly can lead to development of mould problem. Mould contributes to interior air pollution in the home, which can lead to respiratory problems.
Our specialised team of plumbers and water damages experts can quickly assess the damage and implement preventative measures, so the damp or water damage doesn’t get any worse. Damage such as this can be avoided if preventative measures are put in place as soon as possible after accident.
